GUTS

Paulsen, Gary. GUTS. NY: Scholastic Inc., 2001. 148 pages. (Survival Non-Fiction / Autobiography)

The main character is Gary Paulsen, he is the one who wrote the Brian books. The story takes place all over in the world like Canada, and Minnesota, and other places. Some problems that he faces are a plane crash, he had to hunt for his family, no food, and no water at some times. Gary solves the problems by using survival techniques that he used in the Brian books. Some interesting events that happened are that he had to go through so many things like moose attacks, snapping turtles, eating eye balls, and the brains of animals. How I selected this book is that he is my favorite author, and he wrote some of my favorite books like Hatchet, Brains Winter, the River, and Brian’s Return, and many more.
