In the true confessions of Charlotte Doyle, Charlotte's family moves to america for a better life but want Charlotte to finish school before she comes. When Charlotte is finished with school for that semester she packs her clothes, and leaves for the docks. Charlotte boarded a ship called "Seahawk" When she got there she was warned to leave but would not. The first night aboard the ship was very difficult for Charlotte to sleep with all the noises and bugs in her cabin. As she gets farther and farther into her journey she makes a dicision the will be crutial for her future. While aboard the ship she makes friends with and old African sailor to help her along the way. When a storm is on its way there is another disicion she has to make. Will she make it to America?

I truly loved this book when ever I put it down I would just want to pick it back up and see what happens next. I would recommend this book to anyone who asks.
