Can't Get There From Here

Strasser, Todd. Can't Get There From Here. New York: Simon Pulse, 2005. 198 pages. (Fiction)

It's on the streets everywhere you go, poverty, hunger, and no home. This "tribe" of several very strong young people will face the challenge of their life! Maggot the center of the group, Tears, the new tribe member, also the youngest at age 12, Maybe, the follower of the group, Rainbow, the toughest girl of the group, OG, the oldest but not smartest of the group, Pest, the young puppy OG finds in the park, Country Club, the biggest thief of the group and also the fighter, Jewel, the psycho path of the group, and last but not least there is 2maro, she's the girl that is always finding her way around town and looking for free food and a warm place to stay any way that she can! This group goes through the hardest time of their lives as they face freezing temperatures, hunger, no one to want them and no where to go. Some will die, some will go home, and some will have to tough it out!

Go through the pages of "Can't Get There From Here" and see how a Liberian, parents with no care, and a group of kids with no where to go, and a mean security guard get through life! This book I would defiantly recommend that anyone read so that they can see what is going on in the world and how people that may seem bad may actually not be all that bad at all!
