Jack is an Eleven year old boy who lives in Saxon village in time period of A.D. 793. He lives with his sister and their mom and dad. Over a period of time, he will have to live with a bard who controls magic powers that will tell if this hometown will burn down or be saved. He will have to face an evil troll named Olaf One-brow who holds the fate of Jack and his six year old sister. To top it off Jack has to deal with an evil nightmare that can be summoned anytime. Once the nightmares destroyed the bard’s mind and drove him crazy. Jack and his sister will have to live with other capped of the Olaf one-Brow of if you are pretty you will be sold for money. Jack does not know if he will ever get out of the situation. You will have to read and find out. I highly recommend this book. It answers all my questions. It also had little questions but all were answered. It is 455 pages but it is a very good book.
