What My Girlfriend Doesn’t Know

Sones, Sonya. What My Girlfriend Doesn’t Know. Simon & Schuster: New York, 2007. 291 pages. (Romance In-Verse / Poem Review)

Meet Robin Murphy.
He is the loser at school.
But, doesn’t care much.

And now meet Sophie.
The prettiest girl at school.
And most popular.

The two fall in love.
But Robin knows it can’t last.
They’re too different.

Sophie’s determined.
She loves Robin with her heart.
But people are cruel.

Can they make it last?
Will they break under pressure?
Is their love enough?

This is a great book! It is set up in poetry, which sets it out from all other books. It’s a modern twist on Romeo and Juliet, in a way. This book is hysterical! Anyone will love it, I guarantee! This is a sequel to What My Mother Doesn’t Know which tells Sophie’s side of the story. Sonya Sones is amazing.
