Well, that’s exactly what these characters do in the novel, The Sea of Monsters. The main characters are Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Luke. The novel takes place mostly is in Camp Half- Blood. The problem these characters face is that the villain, Luke, poisoned the camp’s tree, and has the Golden Fleece, the only thing that can save the camp. The tree is important because it is the main source of protection for the camp. Also, Grover is in the Sea of Monsters. He got there because he got kidnapped by a monster (monster- knapped!!) They solve their problem by searching for Grover in the Sea of Monsters, finding the Golden Fleece, and save the camp. This book is the sequel to The Lightning Thief.
My least favorite character was Grover the most because even though he was a good character, he didn’t really do anything. He was pretty much just in the Sea of Monsters the whole novel! I selected this book because I liked the first book of the series, The Lightning Thief, and decided to read the second book of the series. If I were to give this book a one word label, it would be “crazy”. Even though it is a very good book, it is so “crazy” because none of the stuff would probably ever happen. Rick Riordan has a vast vocabulary and very good ideas for stories that turn out to be best-sellers.
